SuperFreakonomics: Global Cooling, Patriotic Prostitutes, and Why Suicide Bombers Should Buy Life Insurance
Steven D. Levitt, Stephen J. Dubner
After reading "Freakonomics" (and loving it) I found SuperFreakonomics interesting as well. The second book seems a little shorter than the first, but still packed with interesting analysis of the effects of TV, the economics of prostitution, and other tidbits like handwashing in hospitals. As usual, the authors delve into controversial topics and push the boundaries about our assumptions (i.e. what would monkeys do with money). This is a quick and entertaining read that will give you plenty to think about and discuss at cocktail parties or over coffee.
